Run around Manhattan to win an engagement ring and honeymoon

How well do you know bridal landmarks in New York? A new scavenger hunt aims to test that very knowledge, with the chance to win prizes - and all proceeds go to a good cause.

Teams who sign up for Michael C. Fina and Tacori's "Diamond Dash: Dash for a Diamond and a Cure" event will receive clues about wedding-related destinations in Manhattan texted to their phone.

The first team to reach the final destination receives an engagement ring valued at $20,000, as well as a honeymoon at Waikoloa Beach Resort in Hawaii, and "a once-in-a-lifetime proposal opportunity," the companies say.

Meanwhile, the couple who arrives at each location first along the way will also receive prizes worth up to $3,500.

And here's the feel-good factor: all proceeds from the race will support the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

The Diamond Dash will be held in Manhattan on September 12 at noon and teams can sign up on Michael C. Fina's or Tacori's websites, which also list the complete rules and restrictions. Only residents of New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and Pennsylvania aged 21 or older can participate.
