Diamond Dash: Diamonds Making a Difference

Last weekend thousands of teams ran around Manhattan, New York in search of a $20,000 diamond engagement ring during the ‘Diamond Dash: Dash For a Diamond & a Cure’ event.

The charity event raised money for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. The diamond dash started at noon when the many anxious couples were provided text message clues, which guided them to various wedding-related destinations.

It took them roughly three hours to complete the Diamond Dash, using various transportation methods. After winning the diamond dash contest, Tom Weymouth romantically proposed to his girlfriend Katherine Gordon. He very passionately got down on one knee and declared, "Kat, I'd run anywhere with you."
